Title: Head of Strategic Projects

Reports To: Global Director Planning & Strategy

Location: Milano / Bologna Interporto



The candidate will be part of the Global Operations Team, a dynamic team with a direct impact on business satisfaction and high-level requests management. The candidate will be responsible for the following activities



  • Contribute to define and full responsibility to implement the strategic initiatives in the Global Operations area
  • Coordinate a team of global project managers and continuous improvements function to deliver the different projects
  • Create of a governance structure to follow the different projects and assure consistency with company direction
  • Close collaborate with Stakeholders and Site Managers in all the Regions for implementing the initiatives in line with strategic priorities
  • Supervise the PM and QA Team in all the project of development;
  • Create a strong relationship with finance teams in order to create a business case driven approach and deliver within the budget constraints
  • Support the Global Director Planning & Strategy in evaluating new solutions and projects for process and process
  • Create and lead a continuous improvement program across Operations
  • Responsible for the sustainability agenda and initiatives in the area
  • Lead the project of Ops, guarantying the sustainability of the projects form a financial and operational perspective
  • Define clear guideline for the development of the project
  • Monitoring the development of the project according with the financial and operational guidelines

  • Ability to work well in a complex team
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Highly capacity in handle high number of stakeholders


Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar position, working in a multinational context
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and knowledge of the Italian language will be considerate a plus
  • Motivation to find the right solution to the business demands, and to go beyond simply presenting the numbers
  • The ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders, from defining the problem in our distribution centres to presentation of the results to Top management team
  • An advanced level of skill in using Microsoft Excel is required



  • Effective at communicating programs and priorities in a manner that is clear and compelling
  • A team player with self-confidence, assertiveness and personal motivation
  • A passion for always exceeding internal and external customer expectations
  • Ability to provide strong leadership - inspiring, engaging and motivating team to “be the best” and adhere to all our company values
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading a strong management team. A high level of proficiency in developing and implementing the strategies required to realize distribution performance goals and objectives.
  • An ability to establish and monitor a set of well-defined processes that can be standardized, measured and improved (i.e., a “process orientation”)
  • Visibly demonstrating a sense of urgency and strong personal ownership to overall performance
