For Smart Buildings Division we are looking for a Hub Continuous Improvement Manager to establish and maintain a continuous improvement (CI) culture in Hub units focusing on Customer & Quality by deploying a set of CI competencies, utilizing Lean Six Sigma (L6S) as the CI methodology, and creating transparency to monitor progress, within the area of responsibility. Drive and coordinate Quality Wins program inside the Hub and Quality Wins Champion inside ELSB Division, defining implementation plan and adequate governance structure. Master multiple Black Belt Projects
This role will report to HUB Division Manager and functionally to Division Continuous Improvement Manager.

Your responsibilities

  • Continuous Improvement Deployment Develop a common and consistent approach across Hub units in line with Division structure for continuous improvement and strategy deployment via L6S. Customize strategy and facilitate best practice sharing within locations in your HUB/PG.
  • Identify talented individuals within your Hub for internal customers who require specific content knowledge and/or capabilities relevant to their continuous improvement program. Mentor and coach Business Unit CI candidates. Develop pipeline of CI team members able to drive business results.
  • Design Quality Wins deployment program inside the Division and more specifically inside the Hub, implementing governance structure and resourcing to support timely deployment plan implementation. Partner with business leaders to understand their organization’s vision, objectives and improvement needs in order to help them define a course of action; work with leaders to identify and access the best resources (internal or external) with which to work
  • Provide and be a resource for our Hub customers’ continuous improvement efforts, and stay there until the work can be sustained by their own operation. Customers are required to build up competency and resources to sustain solution.
  • Provide Hub visibility of the current portfolio of continuous improvement efforts; track via metrics/KPIs progress and value from these efforts in order to help decision makers allocate resources and recognize success, with special focus on operational cost reduction. To work effectively with other CI leaders to standardize processes and develop best practices.
  • Provide training, coaching and facilitation support to individuals and teams so that they are better equipped to drive their improvement efforts for themselves. Execute Divisional training and development structure in line with CI and organizational goals. Continually strive to increase individual and business skills by benchmarking external processes and techniques and introduce applicable ones into ABB
  • Drive cultural transformation within the scope of responsibility, with a hands-on (´Gemba´) approach. Understands and promotes behavioral change to continuously improve function performance through programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies. Develops the skills and competences to create a highly effective and efficient team


our background

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent
  • A proven track record in leading successful change initiatives across organizational boundaries
  • Strong people management and leadership skills. Able to increase team’s engagement while deploying change programs
  • Demonstrated ability to improve on time delivery, lead time and inventory turns
  • Up-to-date functional expertise in the Planning & Fulfillment domains of Sales & Operations Planning, Sales & Operations Execution, Inventory Management, Operations Planning and Demand Planning
  • Previous experience in application of Project Management and Lean / Six Sigma methodology
  • Strong communication skills in English, consulting and facilitating skills
  • Ability to work with different cultures in a matrix organization
  • Customer focus and actions oriented with a systematic and structured approach
