Bid Engineer for our location in Rome, Italy

The Bid Engineer will be accountable for all aspects to receive the inputs, requirements, cost targets and estimations and support required to deliver the required bid commitments for a given product family to satisfy customer requirements while adhering to standardization, re-use, bid budgets and schedules.



  • Coordinate engineering activities in Bid phase in order to achieve a technical solution according to the best strategy.
  • Collect and harmonize BID documentation (Technical documents and Internal documents). Harmonize estimations (LoM and Estimation hours files) from engineering team or Product Family.
  • Create, review and develop Engineering technical documentation for Bid Phase.
  • Coordinate and support other departments during BID phase (Procurement, BIDS, ITC, Legal, PMO, Product Family).
  • Ensure proper application of internal Bid approval process.



  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering.
  • Excellent knowledge and/ or experience in the field of Bid and participation in technical proposal phase within railway industry.
  • Strong knowledge of CENELEC norms, railway signalling rules and products are desired.
  • Knowledge of job specific tools (MS Office, DOORS, Primavera) is an advantage.
  • Strong planning, teamwork and problem-solving skills are highly required.
  • Excellent communication, written, oral and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to plan and organize your work with the capacity to quickly adapt to changes.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment.
  • English and Italian language skills are a must
