As UX Designer you’ll be responsible for crafting user-centered design solutions that promote ease of use and frictionless experience, conducting research and product analysis in order to promote the user experience universally. This includes all phases of the design process including conceptual design/development, interface design, interactive prototypes and user/task flows. You must be an innovative, creative, and analytical problem solver. You must also have good interpersonal skills, excellent communication and organization skills.

You'll have the opportunity to own multiple projects, as part of the Product Design Team, managing and delivering impactful design that benefits the lives of millions of YOOX customers. Your knowledge of UX will be vital to us, choosing the best design strategies and coming up with new ideas and ways of working to solve customer problems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • providing UX thought-leadership, coaching, mentorship, and guidance within the eCommerce team and across the business;
  • developing, maintaining internal UX processes to adapt to evolving user and business needs;
  • defining, maintaining and evangelizing UX principles both within the delivery teams and with the management teams to ensure a consistent experience;
  • developing & maintaining a deep understanding of our target audiences, their behaviours, needs, passions and expectations. Dissemination of this knowledge and insight within in the team and to the Product Owner will be a key responsibility;
  • championing the customer needs, making realizable, innovative and cross-device recommendations & solutions for improving the experience (i.e. usability, interaction design and functionality) of our web sites and apps via collaborative design workshops, lo-to-high fidelity concepting, wireframing & prototyping all the way to strategic proposals;
  • defining user and user flows, site structures and site maps;
  • conducting requirements analysis including personas, scenarios, task analysis, usability testing, and competitor analysis collaborating with the Product Owner, Tech, Creative and Marketing teams where relevant;
  • working with creative designers, content writers and business analysts to ensure an efficient transition of the interactive design into development. Presenting and justifying design/solutions to all areas/levels of the business;
  • using customer insight data, customer care knowledge, UX research and web analytics to identify areas for improvement within existing customer journeys and produce recommendations to the Head of Ecommerce;
  • coordinating with Product Owner and other stakeholders to ensure that defined solutions will meet agreed KPIs.

     

Skills and Experience

  • unbridled passion and enthusiasm for the User Experience discipline;
  • exceptional customer-focus with expert knowledge of ecommerce, usability and experience design;
  • high sensibility to visual design aspects;
  • demonstrable experience in delivering fun, innovative and cross-device/responsive designs that have delivered commercial success;
  • demonstrable experience in influencing business roadmaps with user centered solutions and UX led strategy propositions;
  • good oral and written communication skills in English;
  • strong mediation and influencing skills;
  • expert knowledge of design tools (e.g. Sketch, XD, Figma or similar);
  • knowledge of AB Testing methodologies and tools (Optimizely, VWO etc.);
  • knowledge of Web Analytics tools and skills in data analysis;
  • confidence in Design System and best practices for consistent design;
  • comfortable liaising at all levels within the business;
  • experience of cross-device online commercial success;
  • a keen interest and awareness of future developments in website, mobile, software and technology trends and innovations.
