We are looking for a Digital Product Manager to join our company. The selected candidate will support the definition, the development, the market positioning, the price and the launch of digital product / services in reference to asset management, remote condition monitoring, analytics, energy management and ABB cross-sector solutions in reference to modern needs of Solar Customer in the Digital Age. He/she will take care of the definition of new business model in the digital age of ABB Solar cloud-based product offer.
He/she will take care of extending the coverage of market in order to make ABB Solar digital solution profitable and will work at the definition of an analytics platform leveraging the amount of data coming from solar asset sold, installed and registered with the cloud.


Your responsibilities

  • Leads market intelligence analysis;
  • Owns the technical and market specification for the product/system/service and determines a product/system/service business plan that supports sustainable growth;
  • Acts as interface between internal functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Research & Development) and both external market and other ABB Division / Business Unit;
  • Defines new product/system/service plans, sets technical, price, cost and capital expenditure targets;
  • Initiates and drives product market communication strategy, including product launch planning and implementation;
  • Defines product customer value proposition per segment and channel and ensures clear communication to channels and users, to deliver clear product/system/service positioning;
  • Manages different channel (Marketplace included) to market scenarios in coordination with channel partners and Marketing & Sales to ensure best market coverage;
  • Responsible for product/system/service profitability and margin mainly in reference to new business model to be defined for new digital / cloud-based products offer.


Your background

  • Master degree in the areas of business administration and/or engineering (such as Computer, Telecommunication, Software engineering);
  • 3+ years of experience as Product Manager or Owner (in the renewable field is a plus !);
  • Experience with SaaS/Sub ion based products with a freemium product offering;
  • Experience with building new products from scratch and managing the full product lifecycle;
  • Experience with Business Models associated to Digital products also through Marketplace platform (such as Physical Freemium, Pay per use / Servitization, Digital Add-on, Digital Lock-in);
  • Experience with analytics and metrics tools, testing and statistical analysis;
  • Experience with new products development for web, cloud, Android and iOS applications and strong experience in Agile scrum workflows;
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, highly analytical and data-driven, creative problem solver with a passion for early stage startups;
  • Experience with design thinking and with user and user experience research, deep knowledge of cloud technologies and digital components with a focus on IoT world and cloud based architecture;
  • Long experience in working in multi-cultural teams within huge-structured international companies;
  • Great presentation and written communication skills in English.
